Dr. Yvonne Goldsberry and Dr. Douglas Jutte Join the Rippel Board of Trustees

The Rippel Foundation announced the election of Yvonne Goldsberry, PhD, and Douglas Jutte, MD, MPH, to the Board of Trustees. Both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in population health and vital conditions to advise Rippel in its work to create transformational systems change.

As President of the Endowment for Health in New Hampshire, Dr. Goldsberry’s focus on health policy, equity, and advocacy issues will be an asset to Rippel and the movement to thrive together. She holds significant experience in shared stewardship from her prior role as Vice President of Population Health and Clinical Integration at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene where Dr. Goldsberry worked with state and local partners to implement collaborative community health improvement initiatives. Her extensive background in community health planning contributed to the development of the New Hampshire Public Health Networks when she served as Administrator of the Community Public Health Development Unit for the State of New Hampshire, Division of Public Health Services.

Dr. Goldsberry’s early career included leadership positions at Washington Business Group on Health and George Washington University’s Center for Health Policy Research, the university where she earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy. Her additional educational achievements include an MPH and an MS in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a B.A. in Biology from Brown University.

Dr. Jutte adds value to Rippel’s work to advance the movement to thrive together through his 20 years of experience as a pediatrician in community clinics and as a neonatal hospitalist, as well as his expertise in vital conditions and population health. He is the founder and past executive director of the Build Healthy Places Network (BHPN), a national organization working across health, community develop0ment, and finance sectors to drive more impactful, collaborative neighborhood investments that reduce poverty, advance racial equity, and improve health. He currently works as a consultant and serves as a Board member for Purpose Built Communities and the Center for Health Care Strategies.

Dr. Jutte has advanced health and well-being nationwide, recognizing the investments and improvements in underlying conditions necessary for measurable system change. He was one of three Senior Scientific Editors for the U.S. Surgeon General’s 2021 report on Community Health & Economic Opportunity. His dedication to advancing health and well-being includes a decade of service as a trustee of Mercy Housing, the nation’s largest nonprofit affordable housing developer, and as an advisory committee member for several national healthcare and community development finance organizations, including CommonSpirit Health, Trinity Health, Primary Care Development Corporation, and Enterprise Community Partners.

As a professor in the UC Berkeley School of Public Health for 15 years, Dr. Jutte was published in several prominent scientific journals including Pediatrics, Epidemiology, the American Journal of Public Health, and Health Affairs. He received his BA from Cornell University, MD from Harvard Medical School, and MPH from UC Berkeley. He trained in pediatrics at Standford University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in population health UCSF through the RWJF Health & Society Scholars program.
