Announcing Our New Values

As a national foundation that was established over 70 years ago, the work we do at Rippel has lasting impact. We are honored to work with stewards across the country as we help communities and regions achieve equitable health and well-being. But we know that we cannot do the hard work of systems change without first looking inward at our own organizational culture. We as a team believe that we must walk the talk when it comes to embracing the mindset and practices needed to truly shift systems.

Today we are thrilled to announce our new organizational values. These values not only speak to who we are as an organization that is comprised of talented, caring, and committed people, but also to who we want to continue to be in the years to come. More than words on a page, these values reflect our team and our commitment to a future where everyone thrives. They are the principles that guide our everyday actions and decisions.

While these stated values may be new, they have been at the heart of what Rippel is and how we have operated for decades. And alongside our values, formally declaring what we stand for as an organization is imperative. Underpinning our commitment to these values is a belief that our current systems are not built for everyone to thrive, and transforming these systems is only possible by reckoning with legacies of harm and injustice, sharing power, and centering the voices of those who have been systematically marginalized and disenfranchised.

These values steer our journey as an organization and alongside Rippel’s strategic roadmap, position us to contribute meaningfully to the movement to thrive together. By purposefully living out our values through our work, we believe we can achieve our greatest impact.

Learn more about how we arrived at our new values in a message from Rippel’s President and CEO.

As President and CEO, along with our Board of Directors and staff, I am committed to leading with love and ensuring that Rippel’s organizational values are at the core of everything we do. Through our values, we seek progress, not perfection, knowing that we have a responsibility to hold ourselves accountable if we truly wish to reach our north star goal of thriving together, with no exceptions. — Becky Payne
