Brooke's Role

In the role of Senior Program Associate at Rippel, Brooke collaborates with stewards across the country to identify innovative strategies that promote health equity and well-being.

About Brooke

Brooke has experience working in multiple settings, including government, trade associations, hospitals, and accountable care organizations. In her most recent position at the District of Columbia Department of Health, she focused on containing the spread of COVID-19 by coordinating resources and leading a team of public health investigators. Prior to public service, Brooke collaborated with health care leaders across the nation to promote health equity and social needs resources as an Executive Fellow at the American Hospital Association. Her interest in addressing health at a national level stemmed from her experiences at Advocate Health, where she advised physician practices on the patient centered medical home (PCMH) model, an approach to enhance operational efficiency and deliver high-quality care. Brooke’s guidance helped practices improve social needs screenings, health outcomes, and continuity of care.

Brooke holds an MA from University of Maryland, College Park, and a BA from Wright State University. Outside of her professional work, Brooke pursues her passion for service as a member of the National Urban League. She was formerly an executive member of the Metropolitan Board of the Chicago Urban League, which allowed her to amplify national empowerment goals through civic engagement, fundraising, and community service.
