Mark's Role
Mark supports the development, execution, and management of strategic communications to further enhance understanding of the value and impact of Rippel’s work. He specializes in social impact storytelling that amplifies community voices to advocate for change.
About Mark
Mark has over a decade of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, specializing in communications, marketing, and storytelling. Before joining Rippel, Mark led and managed communications strategies and deliverables for national nonprofits. Prior to that, Mark completed a three-year communications fellowship with The Skillman Foundation and the Council of Michigan Foundations, leading digital communications strategies and storytelling for impact. Mark holds certificates from Georgetown University in social impact storytelling and from Cornell University in project management, among others.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys gaming, writing, making art, and cooking. He’s an avid supporter of Detroit City FC and spends much of his time exploring his adoptive home of Detroit. Mark holds an MPA in nonprofit policy and management from Wayne State University and a B.A. in creative writing and English from the University of Michigan.
