Rippel is pleased to announce that, as of March 4, 2024, Tara Oakman has joined the Foundation as Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives. Oakman will lead the implementation of Rippel’s programmatic and strategic partnership portfolios. Recognizing that Rippel’s success is inextricably linked with that of our partners, she will oversee the development of strategic partnerships critical to accomplishing our mission and strategic priorities, working to foster significant progress in our efforts to support the Movement to Thrive Together.
Before coming to Rippel, Oakman was a senior fellow and director of health equity and reform at The Century Foundation (TCF), a progressive policy think tank. There, her work focused on helping shape a more equitable, accessible, and affordable health care system that centers the needs of patients and workers. For ten years prior to joining TCF, Tara was at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the nation’s largest health and health care philanthropy, where she was most recently the interim managing director of RWJF’s Transforming Health and Healthcare Systems thematic area.
